I didn't have my first until I was 35, and now I'm pregnant again at 36. All the new studies show that fertility doesn't drop off as sharply at 35 as they once thought it did. The REAL things to think about are: how exhausted you're going to be at 36 and beyond (because I had A LOT more energy at 30), and also, it is nice to have a circle of moms with whom you can bond. But you'll always have that, because even if your immediate friend group is done having kids, you'll join a moms group or something and they'll become a huge part of your "village."
